We naturally have a dedicated BIM department, but its primary role is to disseminate BIM enthusiasm and expertise throughout our entire company. They effectively immerse every Jansen colleague in BIM principles. The result? Everyone speaks the same language and is BIM-ready.
A clear BIM roadmap
01. The design
A good design starts with a solid foundation. Our point cloud scanner assists us with this, as it provides us with the exact dimensions of the existing location. Based on this data, our professionals create a design. Using tools like rendering software and VR glasses, we then bring your project to life.
02. The preparation
Thanks to a 3D representation in BIM, we have all the knowledge at hand. Are the architect’s and engineer’s plans aligned? Where are the discrepancies when combining different disciplines? It’s the perfect clash detection! With our Document Management and Issue Management, all information is centralized, directly usable, and accessible to everyone.
03. The execution
As a craftsman, subcontractor, site manager, project manager, and even as a client, you are 100% up-to-date with every step of the project. One glance at your BIM model and you know how and when something needs to be executed, both from behind your desk and directly on site.
04. Use and maintenance
Together, we develop a 3D as-built plan. As the client, you have all data consolidated into one clear overview. This allows you to utilize your ‘place to be’ to its full potential and save valuable time and resources on maintenance. This is also an area where Group Jansen excels!
Three BIM levels
Our BIM department provides the necessary training and serves as a helpdesk for everyone. They make a clear distinction between three levels: the pros can model, the advanced profiles can analyze, and the basic level can consult all BIM models. As a client or designer, you naturally want to be fully involved in your project, which is why you are part of the basic level.
For each level, we have specific preferred software. However, thanks to our BIM experience, we are familiar with most BIM software packages. Therefore, the open BIM principle prevails in our BIM approach.
