Sustainable, technical, warm. LUBDUB, the design cell of Group Jansen, builds interiors with soul. The name, by the way, refers to the sound of a heartbeat. And that’s well-chosen: every space should feel natural and function purposefully. Group Jansen delivers this with an approach that considers both the user and the construction reality.

A Design with a Heartbeat
Customers are increasingly asking for both design and execution from a single source. LUBDUB responds to this by integrating design directly within the construction group. This means that clients no longer have to go to an external architect first and then look for a contractor: design and execution follow each other seamlessly, with short lines of communication and realistic budget monitoring. Price and material choices are continuously coordinated with calculators, executors and project leaders. This not only saves time, but also prevents surprises on site.
“Projects with a heartbeat” – that is the credo. No standard interiors, but custom designs that match the identity and needs of the customer. LUBDUB always starts from functionality, but adds that little bit of extra individuality that really brings a space to life. The first step is always a thorough analysis, possibly with data capturing and 3D scans. This technology makes it possible to know exactly how a building is put together down to the millimeter – from load-bearing structures to pipes behind the walls – and makes error margins virtually nil.
Making Sustainability Measurable
Sustainability is deeply embedded in Group Jansen’s DNA. Many applied products also come from their own production, ensuring known origin and environmental performance. When external products are needed, LUBDUB requests environmental data from suppliers. Certifications and project tools help to make sustainability goals concrete. This way, the client knows exactly how a project ultimately scores.
With rising construction costs, finding the balance between aesthetics, functionality and budget is more challenging than ever. By receiving clear information about expectations and priorities from the start, LUBDUB can make targeted choices. The result: designs that are not only beautiful, but also feasible and affordable.
The ‘heartbeat’ philosophy does not stop at the interior of offices or hotels. Even temporary site containers are furnished as comfortable workplaces, so that all employees feel comfortable in their (temporary) accommodation.

The Power of Collaboration
The power of collaboration
The LUBDUB team currently consists of four people. Their strength lies in the close collaboration with other departments: BIM for 3D models, R&D for product development, and the execution teams for practical feasibility. The result is a one-stop-shop that unites design, construction, automation and maintenance under one roof.
Through Group Jansen’s acquisition of Sumi Smart Solutions, smart technologies such as KNX and DALI (among others) are now also integrated. As a result, buildings are not only beautiful but also intelligent.
Positioning for the Future
Group Jansen has now been in existence for fifty years and has evolved from a plastering company – founded by five brothers – to a class 8 contractor, manufacturer of building components, and now also an integrated design partner. This shift calls for a new market positioning. “We want clients to see us not just as a builder, but as a partner who can support the entire process,” they say. According to LUBDUB, this integrated approach will be THE most sustainable and efficient way of working in five to ten years.
LUBDUB is more than an interior design firm. It’s an approach where human experience, technical fluency, and sustainability reinforce each other. With an integrated process from design to maintenance and a strong network within Group Jansen, LUBDUB is ready to give many more spaces a heartbeat. And you can feel it.
