The role of a showroom is changing. Whereas showrooms used to serve primarily as a place to display products, today they are increasingly evolving into spaces where you can experience materials, compare solutions, and let ideas take shape. Group Jansen is consciously responding to this evolution with a new showroom in Oudsbergen. It’s not a traditional exhibition space, but an inspiring environment where innovation, product development, and craftsmanship come together.

Based on a clear philosophy
“We’ve noticed that our partners, customers, and suppliers today don’t just want to know what a product looks like—they also want to understand how it works, how it’s manufactured, and how it fits into an overall concept,” says Sarai Bervoets, CCO at Group Jansen. “That’s why we didn’t build a showroom where products are displayed side by side, but one where they work together.”
For more than 50 years, Group Jansen has been known as a Class 8 contractor specializing in interior finishing, building services, and turnkey projects. What is less well known is that, over the years, the construction group has also developed an extensive range of its own building products. This has been driven by a single clear philosophy: if it can’t find what it needs on the market, it develops it itself.
“At our construction sites, we face challenges every day for which there is no ideal solution,” Sarai explains. “Thanks to our in-house R&D department, we can turn those needs into innovative products. We also receive daily feedback from the field through our own project teams. These short lines of communication allow us to make improvements more quickly and bring innovations to market much faster.”
Inspiration begins with experience
These solutions are not only used in Group Jansen’s own projects, but are also adopted by other contractors, architects, engineering firms, and professional partners. Today, the product range includes modular partition walls, climate ceilings, prefabricated finishing elements, cleanroom and laboratory solutions, custom joinery, and Cicé’s circular design products.
In the new showroom, these products are not presented individually, but are integrated into realistic applications. “Visitors can touch the materials, compare finishes, and examine technical details up close. This way, they experience not only the individual products but also how they come together to form a single, integrated building concept. That’s how you make choices based on both intuition and technology,” Sarai says with a smile.

From R&D to Implementation
What sets this showroom apart from a traditional presentation is its direct connection to production. Literally. The showroom is located next to Group Jansen’s new production facility in Oudsbergen. That proximity is no coincidence. It reflects the way Group Jansen builds today: in an integrated manner. Engineering, R&D, production, and construction are all located close together. This allows ideas to be tested quickly, products to be continuously improved, and innovations to be immediately applied to new projects.
“Our showroom is actually at the heart of our innovation process,” Bervoets concludes. “Visitors not only see the end result, but also gain insight into the journey a product takes—from initial design to the finished project. Our showroom is therefore not an endpoint where products are sold, but a starting point where ideas are born. We want to inspire, challenge, and work together to build solutions that are smarter, more sustainable, and better integrated.”
