After a major fire, a historic wing of the City Campus of the University of Antwerp received a complete makeover. Group Jansen took charge of the total interior design, combining respect for heritage with contemporary comfort.
Challenge
Working in a protected monument and on an active university campus required precision, planning, and multidisciplinary craftsmanship. The challenge lay in preserving historical elements, integrating modern techniques, and minimizing disruption for students and staff. Thanks to a tight schedule and close collaboration with the client, Group Jansen was able to execute the renovation flawlessly, from demolition to finishing.

Pleasant Office Spaces with Abundant Daylight and Greenery
“Before the fire, the rooms were boring. The forced renovation was a great opportunity to get rid of that outdated look. Interior walls were replaced by glass walls, ceilings were raised, pipes were neatly hidden, cabinets were replaced by benches. This resulted in pleasant office spaces with abundant daylight, plants everywhere and inviting seating, work and landing areas.”
