Geel Hospital is a regional hospital with a strong reputation in the Kempen area. It annually receives thousands of patients for consultations, admissions, and treatments. For the brand new children’s ward “Planet Golden Yellow,” the hospital called upon Group Jansen, specifically Jansen Decoration, to create a unique care environment that puts children at ease and stimulates their imagination.
Challenge
The assignment was far from standard. The hospital wanted a children’s ward that feels like a spaceship, with a playful and soothing interior that reduces fear and stress in young patients. Jansen Decoration was given responsibility for the paintwork, floor covering, and wall finishing. Every detail had to be perfect: from a sparkling starry sky in the waiting area to little aliens on the consultation room doors. Moreover, everything had to meet the strict hygiene and safety standards of a hospital environment.
Result
Colors and finishes that bring tranquility
At Jansen Decoration, we understand how important a warm, soothing environment is, especially for children who find a hospital visit exciting. That’s why we worked with great care and precision on colors, textures, and finishes that not only fit within the space theme but also contribute to a sense of security. The special lighting in the treatment rooms and the playful details in each room help the young patients feel at ease, replacing fear and stress with wonder and relaxation.
This project shows what we can achieve as a team: not just beautiful finishing, but also a tangible impact on the well-being of children and their parents. We are proud that our craftsmanship has contributed to a place where care and imagination come together.
