Group Jansen is refocusing on its core business

22 Oct 2026

Group Jansen is shutting down three loss-making companies, focusing on construction projects, interior design and maintenance, prefabricated construction, and building services, and exploring opportunities to further strengthen the group.

Group Jansen is refocusing its activities on its core strengths. The group is winding down its three loss-making subsidiaries—Vinitex, Jansen Cleanrooms & Labs, and Jansen Products—and focusing on construction projects, interior design and maintenance, prefabricated structures, and technical systems. To strengthen the remaining businesses more quickly, various options are being further explored.

In recent years, Group Jansen has built up a group that designs, manufactures, constructs, and finishes buildings, as well as maintains them, and has grown rapidly, in part through acquisitions. Unfortunately, not all of these acquisitions proved to be successful.

With the closure of Vinitex, Group Jansen is now at approximately 400 full-time equivalents.

CEO Tom Lambert: “Each of these companies was incurring significant losses, and in each of the three, a recovery would take years and require investments that the group cannot afford at this time. Under these circumstances, shutting them down is the only responsible choice.”

Focus on the Essentials

Going forward, Group Jansen will focus on the areas where the group excels: construction projects (Jansen Building Projects), interior design and maintenance (Jansen Decoration, Jansen Services), prefabrication and manufacturing (Jansen Prefab, Jansen Ceiling Solutions, Bened), and technical services (Jansen Energy Solutions, Jansen Technics HVACs, Jansen Smart Solutions). This allows the group to maintain its combination of finishing services, technical expertise, in-house manufacturing, and maintenance all under one roof.

The core companies are continuing their operations. Ensuring the continuity of their projects is the top priority.

Tom Lambert: “Few contractors combine finishing, technical work, in-house production, and maintenance all under one roof. And the difference is made on the job site, by strong local teams who know their project and their client.”

Industry peers and investors

The discontinuation of the loss-making operations is a first, necessary step. Group Jansen does not want to take the next step alone: to strengthen its core businesses more quickly, it is holding talks with industry peers and investors. Various options are on the table, ranging from collaboration to equity participation. The discussions are ongoing; no decision has been made as of today.

Tom Lambert: “Group Jansen has a strong vision: a single company that designs, manufactures, builds, and maintains. We’re taking two steps back now so we can leap forward.”
