After an impressive restoration period, the iconic luxury hotel Corinthia Grand Hotel Astoria Brussels reopened its doors. Together with our partners, we worked with great passion and craftsmanship on the revival of this historic gem. Our mission? Not just to renovate, but to restore the hotel’s original splendor, with a touch of modern luxury added. This weekend you could read all about it in Het Belang van Limburg 📰

From Churchill to King Philip
Winston Churchill once stayed there and King Philip and Queen Mathilde held their engagement party there. When the renovation of the Corinthia Grand Hotel Astoria in Brussels is completely finished, an American superstar will be the first guest in the penthouse suite. For the 1,200 square meter spa, an additional floor was even excavated beneath the protected ballroom and new foundations were laid.
High-end Finishing
“With an experienced team of project and site managers, we’ve been working on this almost day and night for three years now,” says Stouthuysen, while showing photos on her phone of how the hotel looked before the renovation. “We focused mainly on the high-end interior finishing and special techniques. At certain times, more than 500 people were working on the site.”
The interior design was handled by London-based G.A. Group. “We often had to provide the connection between their design requirements and the conditions of our heritage services,” says Stouthuysen. The requirement was that the appearance of the monumental facade, entrance hall and ballroom be preserved. “We actually scraped floors to find the original colors.”

Calling Card
“With this kind of calling cards, we are really making a name for ourselves in the world of high-end hotels,” concludes CEO Nadia Jansen. “But we’re also growing in other niches like cleanrooms and laboratories. In times when the retail and office market is struggling, that’s definitely an asset. With the various departments within our company, we can also finish those buildings from A to Z.”
