50 Years
Group Jansen is celebrating 50 years. René Jansen once started a construction company with his four brothers. The family business expanded rapidly into a group of companies active in construction. Now his daughter Nadia is at the helm of the ship that has grown into an established company that likes to think outside the box, has a drive for innovation and always enjoys a good celebration!
At 33 years old, Nadia took over the leadership of Group Jansen. ‘It was a major challenge to fulfill the CEO role at such a young age in such a male-dominated world. I was not only a woman, but also young and I don’t have an engineering degree.’ Yet Nadia leads the company with flair and embodies the philosophy of the family business. ‘Everyone gets the same opportunities. We look for strong personalities with great determination, regardless of diplomas,’ says René.
Star Academy
‘With lots of enthusiasm but little knowledge, you obviously can’t work with us,’ Nadia laughs. In response, Group Jansen invests in its own people through the Star Academy. ‘We train our people technically, but also in the values and standards of our group. These days, many employees value variety. With us, they can job hop within our own group.’
