Group Jansen engineered and coordinated everything from A to Z for the Van der Valk project, transforming a wind and watertight building into a beautiful and functional hotel. All technical installations and the complete interior finishing bore the Jansen mark. And we went the extra mile! We even took care of the fixed furniture (passionately crafted by the skilled professionals of Jansen Joinery), loose furniture, curtains, televisions, …

A true innovation for hotel construction was the installation of comfort islands. Traditional air conditioners were replaced by this state-of-the-art solution. Guests no longer suffer from discomforts such as drafts and noise pollution. Instead, they enjoy a pleasant indoor temperature through radiant heating and cooling, as well as perfect ventilation, acoustics, and lighting. The whole package!

Also for hotel owner Van der Valk himself, our comfort islands are a big win. By linking the complete building management system to the reservation software, they can set the room temperature per room as they wish. Naturally, this leads to significant savings on the energy bill.

The icing on the cake was the implementation of an overarching building management system by Jansen Smart Solutions that seamlessly connects all systems within the hotel. From lighting and shading to audiovisual equipment (A/V). This provides a central platform for the management and control of all technical aspects of the hotel, enabling hotel management to operate efficiently and offer guests a high-quality experience.
