As
Hotel Mardaga in As has been a fixture in Limburg for more than 110 years. Following a thorough renovation and expansion, the four-star hotel now features 35 rooms and two new dining concepts. Jansen Energy Solutions handled the electrical and technical installations.
Challenge
Hotel Mardaga is located near the Hoge Kempen National Park. Demand for rooms exceeded what the boutique hotel could handle. That’s why the owners opted for a major expansion. With Météore, a new wing featuring 17 contemporary rooms was added. As a result, the hotel grew from 18 to 35 rooms. The new wing houses the gourmet restaurant Marveille, while the original building is home to Brasserie Marquise. The hotel also offers space for meetings, parties, and weddings.
A project like this requires a technical foundation that ties everything together. The historic building and the new construction had to form a single technical entity. From energy and mobility to safety, ambiance, and comfort. And all this while the hotel remained open throughout the construction. A strict phasing plan was therefore essential.

Result
Jansen Energy Solutions was responsible for a wide range of electrical and technical installations. From the high-voltage substation and solar panels to the charging stations in the parking lot. A KNX system handles the building automation. In addition, we installed fire detection, emergency lighting, video surveillance, and audio systems. We also handled the interior and outdoor lighting.
This is how various techniques come together in a single, well-designed installation. Reliable for the owners, invisible to the guests. With an eye for detail, from the rooms at Météore to the 2.5-hectare garden.
In September 2026, Hotel Mardaga officially reopened its doors. It’s wonderful to be able to apply our expertise to a project of this caliber.
