Maurin Belgium, part of the French Groupe Maurin, is one of the largest car distributors in Belgium. In a sector where showroom visitors are increasingly well-informed, the physical experience becomes crucial. That’s why Maurin Belgium opted for a thorough makeover of three Mercedes-Benz showrooms in Hasselt, Leuven, and Sint-Truiden. And Group Jansen stepped into the cockpit.

Challenge

The challenge? Renovating three locations simultaneously, with minimal closure days and maximum impact. Group Jansen took care of the entire fit-out: from electricity and HVAC to flooring, walls, doors, finishing, and even automated speed gates. Thanks to a phased approach, first the offices, then the showrooms, and finally the workshops, operational continuity was guaranteed.

Result

Flexibility as the common thread

The renovated showrooms stand out through bright spaces with high ceilings for the cars on one hand. And on the other hand through cozy customer areas where visitors can enjoy a coffee in peace and have an informal chat with the sales staff. This division contributes to the calming and quality feeling that the customer experiences here.

The complete fit-out of the showrooms was approached in phases to minimize closure days. First the office spaces, then the showrooms, and finally the workshops. From electricity and HVAC to flooring, doors, walls, finishing, and even high-speed doors: everything was renewed and moreover smartly controlled via an integrated DALI system.

Technological sophistication

Not only the finishing, but also the technological sophistication is a real asset. When entering in Hasselt, for example, the large video wall immediately catches the eye. In addition, the sales desks adapt to the type of car – AMG, Mercedes-Benz, Smart or Maybach – via adjustable lighting atmospheres that strengthen the brand identity.

The flooring is also an eye-catcher. In the showrooms there are huge floor surfaces, in specific colors and with rounded shapes. Processing this correctly according to Mercedes-Benz’s strict aesthetic requirements was quite a challenge, but was excellently achieved.

The end result is calming, quality and completely according to Mercedes-Benz’s expectations.
